Here is our painting plan (great colors from Restoration Hardware):
Our floors are here! And you can see the "latte" walls and "buttercream" ceiling:
Random length, 3/4 inch thick, wide (5-8 inches) highlands plank, reclaimed oak wood flooring. The ribbed side is the bottom-some pieces are turned over so you can see what the top of the floors look like:
"Highlands Plank" is "lightly planed leaving remnant original sawn texture on about half of the plank face," which means its basically super rustic looking :) The Woods Company (our supplier) describes our wood as "manufactured from 100% reclaimed boards, planks, and beams salvaged from old barns, houses, mills, and other aged rural buildings. This flooring possesses varying degrees of character marking, such as knots, nail holes, weather cracks, and occasional insect traces. Grain and color variation is also a distinguishing characteristic." Cool!!
And here is the "butter" middle and back bedrooms when the morning sunshine is flowing in!
And now we head down the hall to the piece de resistance (drum roll please)...
Ta daaaa (symbols crashing)!!! We love it! I think it actually looks better in person. I guess youll have to come over and see it :)
